Europe’s Rail: European innovation project

Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking is the largest innovation programme for railways in Europe to date. Under the leadership of the Norwegian Railway Directorate, the Norwegian railway sector and R&D community are participating in major innovation projects over the next 10 years.

Advisory innovation board for the railway

The Advisory Innovation Board consists of technology and innovation managers from Norwegian railway operators. The board works with strategic management of innovation and technology development on the railway in Norway.

Innovation network for railway maintenance

Innovation network for railway maintenance is for anyone who wants to help drive innovation in condition-based and predictive maintenance in the railway sector.

International cooperation

The Norwegian railway network is part of the Single European Railway Area (SERA) and through the EEA-Agreement Norway is obliged to follow the relevant EU railway legislation.
